대강절 주간 묵상집

말씀 중심의 대강절 묵상

대강절 시즌에 접어들면서, 이 묵상집을 통해 ‘우리와 함께 하시는’ 임마누엘 하나님의 선물에 경이로움을 맛보시길 기도합니다.

크리스마스를 앞두고 그리스도께서 계실 곳을 예비하기, 풍성한 나눔을 받들기, 전도된 자비의 손길 펼치기, 목소리 높여 경배하기 등의 주제로, 네 개의 성경구절들을 살펴보면서, 이러한 주제들이 대강절을 지나는 우리들의 삶속에 구체적으로 실천되도록 묵상하게 될 것입니다.

Advent reflections that centre around God’s Word

As enter the Advent season, we pray these weekly reflections will help you marvel at the gift of Immanuel, God with us. Together, we will reflect on four biblical passages in the weeks leading to Christmas.

Each will highlight a central theme of the Christmas story: preparing room for Christ, embracing generosity, extending mercy and raising our voices in worship. We will also consider ways we can embody these themes in our own lives this Advent season.

누가복음 1:46-53

천사가 찾아와 그녀가 메시아를 출산할 것이라고 알려주었을 때, 마리아의 입에서는 ‘마리아의 찬가(Magnificat)’라고 알려진 찬송이 터져 나왔습니다.

46 마리아가 이르되 내 영혼이 주를 찬양하며 47 내 마음이 하나님 내 구주를 기뻐하였음은 48 그의 여종의 비천함을 돌보셨음이라 보라 이제 후로는 만세에 나를 복이 있다 일컬으리로다 49 능하신 이가 큰 일을 내게 행하셨으니 그 이름이 기ㅓ룩하시며 50 긍휼하심이 두려워하는 자에게 대대로 이르는도다 51 그의 팔로 힘을 보이사 마음의 생각이 교만한 자들을 흩으셨고 52 권세 있는 자를 그 위에서 내리치셨으며 비천한 자를 높이셨고 53 주리는 자를 좋은 것으로 배불리셨으며 부자는 빈 손으로 보내셨도다

 Luke 1:46-53

After the angel visited Mary and announced she would bear the Messiah, she broke into a song, known as the Magnificat:

“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. . .”

묵상

사회가 간과하곤 하는 비천하고(/겸손하고) 굶주린 사람들을 향한 하나님의 마음을 마리아는 아름답게 전달하고 있습니다.

평범한 한 여성에게 그리스도를 출산하는 위대한 과업을 주시면서 하나님께서는 세상을 뒤집어 놓고 계셨습니다!그분의 나라는 세상이 가치있게 여기는 권력, 부귀, 명성에 대한 인식을 전복시킵니다.

예수님 자신이 그의 삶과 지상 사역을 통해 이런 마음가짐의 모델이 되셨습니다. 성경은 그분이 사회적 신분으로 (마태복음 13:55), 외모에 있어 (이사야 53:1), 그리고 평판에 있어 (요한복음 1:46) 가난하셨다고 전해줍니다. 굶주린 자들, 옥에 갇힌 자들, 병든 자들에 대해 제자들에게, 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하십니다.
 
“내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 여기 내 형제 중에 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 한 것이 곧 내게 한 것이니라.”
(마태복음 25:40)

우리 하나님은 압제 당하는 자들과 비천한 자들의 편이십니다. 마리아 찬가가 우리에게 교훈하는 것처럼, 하나님께서는 겸손한 자들을 일으켜 세우십니다. 그분은 가장자리로 밀려난 사람들에게 자비의 손길을 뻗으시고, 그의 백성들을 동일한 사역으로 초대하십니다. 

Reflection

In this passage, Mary beautifully conveys the heart of God for the humble and the hungry—those society tends to overlook.

When God gave an ordinary woman the great task of bearing Christ, He was turning the world upside down! His Kingdom inverts the world’s values of power, wealth and reputation.

Jesus Himself modeled this posture throughout His life and earthly ministry. The Bible tells us He was poor in social status (Matthew 13:55), in appearance (Isaiah 53:1) and in reputation (John 1:46). Speaking to His followers about the hungry, the imprisoned and the sick,

He says: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Our God is on the side of the oppressed and the lowly. Just like the Magnificat teaches us, God raises up the humble. He extends mercy to those at the margins—and He invites His people to do the same.

한 주간 힘쓸 말씀

사람들의 기억에서 잊혀진 누군가를 이번 주간에 떠올려 보시면 어떨까요? 인기와 권력을 누리는 사람들에게 끌리기 쉽습니다. 하지만 금번 성탄절에, 스스로 무력한 인생임을 느끼는 사람이 그 자신도 하나님의 관심과 사랑의 대상임을 느낄 수 있도록 할 수 있는 방법이 뭐가 있을까요?

Encouragement for the week

This week, think of someone whom others might forget. It’s so easy to gravitate towards people who are popular and powerful—but how can you show a person who may feel powerless that they are known and beloved by God this Christmas?
