대강절 주간 묵상집

말씀 중심의 대강절 묵상

대강절 시즌에 접어들면서, 이 묵상집을 통해 ‘우리와 함께 하시는’ 임마누엘 하나님의 선물에 경이로움을 맛보시길 기도합니다.

크리스마스를 앞두고 그리스도께서 계실 곳을 예비하기, 풍성한 나눔을 받들기, 전도된 자비의 손길 펼치기, 목소리 높여 경배하기 등의 주제로, 네 개의 성경구절들을 살펴보면서, 이러한 주제들이 대강절을 지나는 우리들의 삶속에 구체적으로 실천되도록 묵상하게 될 것입니다.

Advent reflections that centre around God’s Word

As enter the Advent season, we pray these weekly reflections will help you marvel at the gift of Immanuel, God with us. Together, we will reflect on four biblical passages in the weeks leading to Christmas.

Each will highlight a central theme of the Christmas story: preparing room for Christ, embracing generosity, extending mercy and raising our voices in worship. We will also consider ways we can embody these themes in our own lives this Advent season.

고린도후서 8:9

“우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜를 너희가 알기ㅓ니와 부요하신 이로서 너희를 위하여 가난하게 되심은 그의 가난함으로 말 미암아 너희를 부요하게 하려 하심이라”

2 Corinthians 8:9

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich..”

묵상

성탄은 파격적으로 풍성한 나눔의 이야기입니다. 온 우주의 주인이신 하나님이 스스로 가난하고 약하게 되심으로, 우리가 그 은혜의 부요함을 발견하게 하셨습니다.

도저히 헤아릴 수 없는 천국의 장엄함을 상상해 보세요. 하나님의 아들 예수님은 우리의 이해를 넘어서는 영광과 광채 속에 거하신 분이십니다!

성탄 이야기가 보여주는 빈곤한 풍경은 예수 그리스도의 가난을 통해 우리가 어떤 측량할 수 없는 부요함을 얻었는지 분명히 기억하게 합니다. 이 땅에 내려오시면서 우리를 위해 기꺼이 가난을 선택하셨습니다. 하늘의 위엄을 구유와 십자가와 맞바꾸시고, 천사들의 예배를 인간들의 비웃음으로 교환하시고, 우리가 영생을 얻도록 인간이 되어 그 많은 제약을 감내하셨습니다.

대강절은 그리스도께서 어떤 희생을 치루며 사랑하셨는지 경탄하고 그분의 풍성한 나눔의 사역에 동참하는 기회입니다. 이기심과 손을 움켜쥐고 자신을 위해 쌓기만 하는 시대에 예수님을 따르는 제자들로 이웃과 아낌없이 나누는 삶을 살라고 부르시는 것입니다. 이 세상에 얼마나 강력한 증거가 될 것입니까! 

Reflection

The Christmas story is one of radical generosity. The God of the universe made Himself poor and vulnerable, so that you and I may discover the riches of grace.

Just imagine the unfathomable majesty of Heaven. Jesus, the Son of God, dwelled in glory and splendor beyond what you and I can even fathom!

The scarcity of a Nativity scene serves as a powerful reminder of the immeasurable wealth we have received through the poverty of Jesus Christ. In descending to Earth, He willingly embraced poverty for our sake. He exchanged the grandeur of heaven for the manger and the cross; the adoration of angels for the scoffing of humans. He submitted Himself to the limitations of being human so that we could have eternal life!

Advent is an opportunity to marvel at Christ’s sacrificial love, and to join Him in His ministry of generosity. In a time of selfishness and tight-fisted accumulation, followers of Jesus are called to give lavishly to others. What a powerful witness to the world!

한 주간 힘쓸 말씀

오늘 사랑하는 사람들에게 또는 이웃들에게 아낌없이 사랑을 나눌 수 있는 방법을 생각해 보면 어떨까요? 인근의 무료 급식소에 자원봉사를 할 수도 있겠죠. 노숙자 보호시설에 구호 물품을 전달할 수도 있겠고요. 아니면 궁핍한 누군가에게 한 끼 식사를 대접할 수도 있을 것 입니다.

예수님이 하신 것처럼 기꺼이 이웃을 위해 어떤 희생의 사랑/나눔을 하시겠습니까?

Encouragement for the week

Spend time today thinking of ways you can show lavish generosity to your loved ones or your community today. Perhaps you could book a date to volunteer at a local soup kitchen; bring a basket of goods to a shelter; or prepare and deliver a meal to someone in need.

How can you, like Jesus, willingly embrace sacrificial giving for the sake of others?
