As a run-up to the upcoming International Yoga Day, CGI Vancouver, on 30 May 202, organized a Lecture on Indian Heritage, Indian Philosophy, and the importance of Yoga in life by Mr. Jeffrey Armstrong, a renowned Vedic Scholar and the recipient of the Distinguished Indologist Award 2021 from the Government of India. Jeffrey Armstrong, also known as Kavindra Rishi, is a Canadian author, teacher, and founder of the Vedic Academy of Sciences & Arts (VASA). He is the author of several books on Vedic wisdom, including the best-selling “The Bhagavad Gita Comes Alive”. The lecture was attended by more than 80 people and well received.

 

In association with the Consulate General of India, Vancouver, the Heartfulness Institute, in run up to the IDY 2025, organized a Yoga and Guided meditation session on 30th & 31st May 2025 at Surrey City Centre Library.

India's FY25 growth holds firm, driven by construction and consumption; FY26 outlook steady

India's growth rate has been easing from the FY22 high to a projected 6.5% in FY25, but the overall GDP size continues to expand steadily.
